Privacy Policy

1.Who we are

This website is operated by Flech (“Flech”, “we”, “us”). We decide how and why the personal information described here is used, which makes us its controller. You can reach us at hello@flech.ai.

This policy covers this website and the Flech waitlist. When the product is offered it will have its own privacy terms.

2.What we collect

• Waitlist details. When you join the waitlist you give us your email address and, if you choose, your name.
• Messages. If you write to us, we receive your email address and whatever you include in your message.
• Technical information. Like any website, the servers that deliver this one automatically handle information your browser sends, such as your IP address, browser and device type, the pages requested, and the date and time. This is used to deliver the site and keep it secure.
• Usage information. Our analytics tool records how the site is used: the pages you view, what you click and how far you scroll, the site that referred you, your browser and device type, and an approximate location derived from your IP address. It can also record a replay of your visit, which shows the page as you moved through it. Anything typed into a form is masked in these replays and is not recorded.

We do not ask for, and ask you not to send us, sensitive information such as health details, government identifiers or payment card numbers.

3.Cookies and tracking

We use PostHog, hosted in the European Union, for web analytics and session replay. To tell one visit from another, PostHog stores a randomly generated identifier in your browser using a cookie and local storage. It is not used to track you across other websites.

This site does not use advertising cookies and does not share data with advertising networks.

You can stop this at any time by blocking or clearing cookies and site data for this site in your browser, or by using a content blocker. The site works the same without it.

4.How we use it

• to manage the waitlist and contact you about Flech, including early access and product news;
• to reply when you get in touch;
• to understand how the site is used, so that we can improve it;
• to run and protect the site, including preventing abuse and automated signups;
• to meet our legal obligations and enforce our terms.

We do not use your information for automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you.

5.Legal bases

Where the law requires a legal basis for using personal information, such as in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom, we rely on:

• your consent, for adding you to the waitlist and writing to you about Flech. You can withdraw it at any time;
• our legitimate interests, for operating and securing the site, understanding how it is used, and answering enquiries;
• legal obligation, where we must keep or disclose information to comply with the law.

6.Who we share it with

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for other companies’ advertising.

We use service providers that process information on our behalf and under our instructions:

• a hosting provider that serves this site and runs the waitlist form (currently Vercel);
• a customer relationship system where waitlist details are stored (currently Twenty);
• an analytics provider that records usage information and visit replays (currently PostHog, hosted in the European Union);
• an email provider, for messages we send and receive.

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, to protect our rights or the safety of others, or as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of the business, in which case this policy continues to apply to it.

7.International transfers

Our service providers may process information in countries other than the one you live in, where data protection laws may differ. When information is transferred across borders we rely on safeguards recognised by applicable law, such as standard contractual clauses.

8.How long we keep it

We keep waitlist details until you ask us to remove you, or until the waitlist is no longer needed. We keep correspondence for as long as needed to deal with it and for a reasonable period afterwards. Technical logs, usage information and visit replays are kept for the periods set by our providers, after which they are deleted.

We may keep information for longer where the law requires it.

9.Your choices and rights

You can leave the waitlist at any time by writing to hello@flech.ai or by using the unsubscribe link in any email we send.

Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to:

• ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you;
• ask us to correct or delete it;
• object to, or ask us to restrict, how we use it;
• receive it in a portable format;
• withdraw consent you have given;
• complain to your local data protection authority.

To use any of these rights, write to hello@flech.ai. We will respond within the time the law allows, and we may need to confirm your identity first. We will not treat you differently for exercising your rights.

10.Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information, including encryption in transit and limiting access to those who need it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11.Children

This site is intended for people acting in a professional capacity. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given us information, tell us and we will delete it.

12.Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the site and the product change. The date at the top shows when it was last changed. If a change is significant, we will take reasonable steps to let people on the waitlist know.
